Where Is This Place?

The West Coast Trail is supposed to be challenging, but the first challenging part is actually getting to the trail.
In true Jenna and Willy fashion, we left booking any transportation or accommodation until the night before we left.
After a stressful and late night of packing and planning, we were finally organized to leave today, but everything HAD to work out the way we planned...there was no room for error. We flew out tonight at 6pm (after working all day) and took 3 flights to get to Nanaimo, B.C.. The further west we flew the smaller, older and louder the planes got. The last plane to Nanaimo was only 13 minutes and when we got off the plane the air was so fresh.

We had booked a car service to drive us to Port Alberni (77km away). Our driver Joe was amazing and we are so glad we did this instead of renting a car (which was no longer an option anyways since they were all booked).
We arrived in Port Alberni at 10:45pm (12:45am Winnipeg time), just 15 minutes before the Redford Motel closed. The owner allowed us to set up our tent behind the motel for the night (and use their bathrooms), which he doesn't usually allow.
By the time we unpacked, set up the tent and sleeping gear, it was 12:05am (2:05am Winnipeg time).
It's been a LONG DAY.
Tomorrow we have to be up at 6:00am because our taxi is picking us up at 7:05am to take us to Port Alberni docks to catch a ferry!
Goodnight!
